No trade Clauss. The player has the option to refuse any trade. He will have a 1% chance of refusing for every million dollars of the total value of his contract, upto 75%. In addition that percentage will be modified by the winning percentage (for the previous season or the previous and current season if the season is still in progress) difference between the teams involved. For example: If Team A has a winning percentage of 60% and Team B has a winning percentage of 45%. So the difference is 15%. If the player was going from team A to B then he would be 15% less likely to except it. If the player was going from team B to A he
would be 15% more likely to except. The deal must be for at least 5 years to offer the no trade clauss. No team may sign more than two players to no trade clauses, though they may trade for additional players with no Trade Clauses.
*The sum of these two numbers may total no less than 1.5 and may not go higher than 3.5
**These bonus points are not applicable on a player whose contract was bought out.

Salary Cap Violations: Salary cap violations are a possibility in the WBA. It is the responsibility of each owner to keep track of their cap situation since occassionally things will get by the league offices. If a team is found to have violated the Salary Cap there are some serious consequences. The league cap is semi-hard. It may only be surpassed when signing a drafted rookie or signing players to minimum contracts. When a team is over the cap any trades must not increase the teams salary. Trades may be done if the teams pay-roll stays the same or decreases.

1) Loss of their next first round pick
2) Loss of $2.0 million in Cap space for the following year.
3) Loss of $1.0 million in Cap Space for the next year.

Maximum Contracts: The maximum contract that is allowed is $14.8 million (Season 13) a year for a length of 7 years to free agents, 5 years on extensions of expiring contracts or 3 years for contracts with time remaining. No contract may exceed $14.8 million a season.

Contract Regulations: All contract lengths and amounts are subject to the following restrictions.

Contract Extensions: After each season a list of contract demands will be sent out to the league. Teams will be allowed to offer contract extensions to players at any point during their contract as long as the annual contract amount is for more than the player is currently earning. Extensions must be at least 1 year in length and no more than 3. If the extension is offered at the end of the previous contract it may be offered for upto 5 years. They can also be for no less than 80% of the players requested salary. However, there is a chance that players would decline the offer. The following chart is used to determine the likelyhood that a player will choose to extend their contract. There is also a 5% bonus for offering a player a no-trade clause. Further a team may only make one contract extension offer per year per player.

Sign and Trades are allowed only if a player signs with the team that he was on the previous year. It is not allowed for another team to sign a free agent and then trade him during the free agency period. A player who was just signed to a contract as a free agent may not be traded by his team until Day 25 of the season.

Releasing players is allowed at any point during the season. If a player has a minimum contract ( $0.40 million for 1 year) the contract is not held against the teams Salary Cap. If a team wishes to release a player who has a contract worth more than the minimum they will have to "buy out" the players contract. If a team chooses to "buy out" a contract the entire contract will no longer count against the team but they will still have 25% of the value of the contract for the life of a contract count against them. For example: If a team "buys out" the contract of a player who is in the 2nd year of a 4 year deal worth $4.0 million a season then the team would have $1.0 million count against their cap for the last three years of the contract. A "buy out" is not affected by whether or not the player is signed by another team in the future.

Waiver wire: Players who are cut from a roster during the season or after free agency in the off-season will be placed on the waiver wire. Teams will have the opportunity to sign these players to a one year contract for half the value of their previous contract. If by Saturday there are no teams willing  to sign the player the value of the contract will decrease by 10%. This will continue each week until the contract value is at the minimum value of $0.40 million. Teams are given priority on the waiver wire with the teams with the worst current record or previous season record (during the off-season) receiving preference.

During the Season: Players who are not on the waiver wire may be signed by teams only to a minimum contract on a first come first serve basis.
