Changing Positions
Players who are under 25 years of age may, upon approval of the trade committee learn a new position. A player may however may only do this once in their career. Changing positions costs 3 focus areas unles the player played more than 1000 minutes in the new position in the previous year, in that case it would only cost two focus areas. A player will have a 50% chance of keeping their old position along with their new position. If the player already had two positions they have a 25% chance of keeping both of them and a 50% chance of keeping the one nearest their new position.
Example #1- Player A is a small forward. The coach wishes him to move to shooting guard. There is a 50% chance that after the change he will be just a shooting guard and a 50% chance that he will be able to play both shooting guard and small forward.
Example #2- Player Z can play both point guard and shooting guard. His coach wishes him to be able to play small forward. After the change is made there is a 25% chance that he will be able to play all 3 positions, there is a 50% chance that he will be able to play shooting guard and small forward, and there is a 25% chance that he will only be able to play small forward.
