Texas Fears.
By Clark Lane.

This season so far has been a nice season for Texas. They are playing really good ball, they are having a nice season and at 25-12 they have a record way better than last season. But owner Gustavo Follana is not happy with their team. Despite a 2-2 share of matches with Cancun, Texas has been swept by Capetown 4-0. And this is something for concern. If the season was going to finish now, Texas could be matches with Capetown on the first round of the playoffs. By only naming it, Texas owner has been seen start weeping and screaming: Why me! What have I done to deserve this!!

We can understand. They were blown out at Capetown and they lost by narrow margins on their own court. It looks as if Texas will have to pray not to be in the way of Capetown when the playoffs arrive, or they maybe going home pretty fast.

On another point, Texas management has been considering some offers for Heiko “The Flying Dutch” Van Brandt and none of them had seduced him. “They were too soft for such a high fly player. We won’t trade him if we don’t get much more than that, who do they think I am? Esposito?” After all of this Van Brandt was heard saying he was happy with the outcome: “I have won only 1 championship, and I want to prove I can give Texas the ring they deserve. And playing alongside such a talented player as Jay Vasquez is too much, but if Al Lee could pick up his play that would help us.”

Talking of other news, Paul Carroll has asked to leave Texas as his playing time is not as big as he wanted: “I know I could really show what I am worth on another team. Here I don’t have the playing time I really deserve. I am sure I could kick some butt on a team that would really want me to play all the way.” After this speech Texas is actively looking for a new team for him:”We don’t want this to poison the atmosphere of good work we have in Texas right now. Any offer for him will be considered, even some we wouldn’t have done so before. If we wants out of Texas we will grant him his wish. So please, ask we may surprise you.”

Will Texas be able to go back to their winning track after all this?

Trade Winds Blow In Dinosour Land
Dinos Beat Reporter Greg Ross

Well apperntly where there is smoke there is fire despite what coach Jack Armstrong said last week. The Dinos made 4 moves, 3 trades and a wavier claim. Gone our Sky Harrington(Oregon) Cullen Phillips(Ohama) and Ajani Valentine(Boston) while Joisah Gilles you may find at your local 7-11 as he was told to hit the road as his contract was bought out. Also 4 draft choices exchanged hands. Roswell gave the Alaska 1st rounder for this year and a second round pick the following year that was their own. While they got in return the first round pick for Andorra this year and Bostons 2nd next year. the 4 new Dinos Our Pat Mcdainel who is a vet from Oregon. Harry Kramer who is a young defensive star from Ohama. Fellipe Jaurez a young point gaurd by way of Boston. Craig King is a SF/PF claimed of waviers.

Since the deals went down the Dinos have yet to win but given the fact all 3 were on the road verus Oregon and Colorado I don't think that will suprise anyone. Dinos our now a combined 0-6 verus Colorado and Oregon. The Dinos in fact our a terrible 3-11 in thier divison. The playoffs seem less likely with each passing day. Despite the fact dinos only trail Miami by 3 and half games for the final playoff spot in the west. So was this a move for the future or for the present? If you ask the Dino's Owner James Borbath It's a little of both.

"I Think it is a good move for our future as both Juarez and Krammer both our young with huge upsides. However at the same time I think we have improve our line up with only really giving one important player away being Ajani Valentine. All this moves went together. We traded down in the draft as far as picks go but also got a second round pick that we didn't have before. Both Juarez and Kramer can come off the bench and even start on occassion depending on what coach Armstrong wants too do. While King and Mcdaniel give us some depth at positions that we lacked depth. I'm realistic making the playoffs is going to be tough. However we have add some more young quality players to our mix and I'm excited about it."

Despite Borbath's excitement not everyone feels the same. Two Dinos that were not as happy were Wesley Phillips who once again seems to have found a spot on the bench as a result. " I'm so tired of this stuff. I have just got nothing since we changed ownership. I mean heck if the don't want me than trade me or get rid of me. It seems with the exception of Dasher we all been put on the back burner. I mean you look around here there isn't much left from last year. What is left isn't being used with the exception of Dasher. I've had to long a career in this league to have it end this way. I'm begging any team to give me a chance. I'll even play for esposito and the sorry sack knights."

The other player not happy was rookie star Walt Jackson. He and Ajani played college ball together and thanks to a trade before the season with Nebraska the two started the pros together. Jackson had this to say," It's not exactly the greatest Christmas present in the world to see your best frind traded off your team. I mean I'm upset for myself losing my best friend. Although on the other hand excited for Ajani cause he should get to play a bigger role on his new team in Boston. It's the way things go in the pros I guess but I'll deal with it I am not going let it have am impact on my play. We will still see one another in fact i'm looking forward to going against Ajani in the rookie All Star Game. That should be fun to see how we match up. Than will get a chance to play in the season as well cause we have yet to play Boston."

Jackson will now likely lean on Christbal Dasher even more with the loss of Valentine. Which is Fine with Dasher," Walt is pretty upset about the whole deal and you can understand given the situation. However I will make sure he stays focused on whats important. I kind of look at Walt as a way of extending my legacy in this league. When I'm ready to go hit a rocking chair I can sit back and watch him shine in this league and know that I was a big part of why. The ability that Walt has is amazing and I think he has only scratched the surface of how good he will be. Lets put it this way if at the end of the season I'm not leading this team in scoring and rebounding I won't be shocked. He is that good and he gets better as the days go on."

No question about that. Although not as cosistant as one would like Walt Jackson seems to have answered the doubters as we our almost at the half way point of the year.
Coach Armstrong believes that his team can all improve with the recent moves and really grow heading into the future. Armstrong had these comments," As a coach the primary goal is to be a teacher to your players and we have a lot of young talented students in this classroom. I love to watch young guys learn and get better it is one of the great joys of coaching. Jackson along with Kramer and Jaurez all can be great players in this league and it is my job with their help and commitment to make that happen. Doesn't hurt to have veterans willing to help as well. I real admire how Dasher has worked with Walt. I think Buck and now Pat Mcdaniel can do the same for Juarez. You have to be part of the solution and not part of the problem. If you our part of the problem than you will learn what it's like to be on the bench real fast."

Obviously that last comment directed at Wesley Phillips one would guess. Sam Hickerson also got in the dog house of coach armstrong and with all the big people on this team it may be hard to find his way out. Some were suprised that he stayed through all the trades as it is a known fact to WBA Insiders that Montana's Owner Micheal"Tradehappy"Espisito has always been a Hickerson fan and wanted to draft the big fella but like so many things this year Montana was beaten to the punch. With lots of time before the trade deadline you might expect some calls coming from Montana to Roswell.

Things don't get any easier for the Dinos as they get set to host Texas. You can bet Texas will be fired up to avenge a 6 point loss to the Dinos earlier in the season. Texas currently sit 3rd in the midwest divison and sport a 24-10 mark and our an impressive 11-7 on the road.

With that you our update with your Dino news.

Live from Anchorage
Do You Believe?!

Well the season is almost half way over and the people of Alaska have something to be proud of.  They have a WBA Franchise that isn't the worst team in the league.  From Season 2, from Virgin Islands, from JamminMons, from Fred Bell to Alaska, to Jack Spegiel, to SnowBears, to Season 10!  This Coach Robert Williams team is doing something none of his teams have done.  Yes he has made it close to the playoffs but never has he had consistency at every position.  Never has one of his teams been seriously looked upon as a chance to grab at least the 8 seed.    You have to wonder if the league is just more competitive now or is Alaska really this good?  The league continues to grow and get better, but some teams of yesterday are falling apart.  The one team that comes to mind is the once mighty dynasty London Disco!  What is going on over there, was David Song that dang good of a coach?!

Alaska has a lot to be proud of in a season where other owners were doubtful.  The biggest surprise on this team is Harry Applegate… After playing in the shadow of Kevin Boice for two seasons, he has finally gotten his chance to shine, and shine he has.  15 points a game, 7.4 rebounds, 2.2 blocks (also the Season high in blocks with 11).  He is showing that he has potential and he will only get better.  Another surprise is the play of Marquez Houston, he is starting slowly to put the ball in the hoop.  And he is grabbing more rebounds this season.  Ed Kane has remained solid for Alaska, shooting 58 % from the field, dishing out 7.7 assist a game, and averaging a little more than 2 steals a game.  At the Center position Jack Speigel has emerged…  Averaging 20 plus points a game, 7.6 rebounds a game and shooting 53% from the field.  If you just look at these stats you would think that this team should be at least play .500 ball, but they aren't.  Still they look good and are not easily looked over.  The biggest disappointment on this team has come at the StarStudded SG position.  Rick Shultz and George Foster have not produced the numbers Alaska was looking for.  It is important that one of these two put in at least 18 a game and the other feel the slack with 12 or 14.  I predict if we were able to a consistent 30 points of of the SG position, it would allow us to win more games.  40 points would guarantee more wins!

Off the bench, Peter Langstaart has been holding his own with averaging about 6 rebounds in 13 minutes a game. Ethan Hunt is seeing some playing time and using it to his best ability.  Raphael Parks is seeing some time, and he could be doing better with more time, but Applegate is running the show at the power forward position and if it isn't broke, why fix it.  Storm Schmid hasn't really seen the time he wants but if this team makes the playoffs look for him to take over the back up PG position.

The season is still early and there is a lot of basketball to be played.  I do predict Alaska making the playoffs because of heart and they have not put themselves in a hole like the usually do.  Alaska has to find away to break the curse of losing on the road.  They have to get to the Free Throw line at least 15 times a game.  The most important thing is winning on the road.  If they can win at least 15 on the road, things should look more promising.

Around the WBA

The power of the Web! Over the last couple of weeks there has been a web campaign for people to heckle seldomed used WBA players while they sit on the bench. Most players are used to this kind of abuse but it can get difficult. Today two players were suspended for responding to this abuse. SLC's Emillio Brown spit on a fan and New York's Haznor Kolvanis threw a cup of Gatorade. Both have been suspended for a game.

In other New's Miami's Kyree Haven's will miss three games with sever Athlete's foot. On the bright side this has given his agent new ideas for potential endorsement deals.

Jerry Bollinger Show Transcript:

In a day where the stars align, the moon is full, and Jupiter is in the 3rd phase the most odd or even unlikely things happen. And thus it was on the 29th day WBA play. In this day of oddities we begin with Montana only loosing by 17, Miami's John Davis went a whole game (39 minutes of play) without a foul, but the rarest event of all is Miami's Jose Nobis missed a free throw. The longest standing free throw streak in the WBA was ended on this 29th day of games when Nobis bricked a free throw off the back off the iron right into the hands of New Yorks Camron Diaz. `It was odd said Diaz after the 102-89 loss to Miami. Whenever Nobis is on the stripe you just go stand there at the key just as semantics simply because that is what you are suppose to do. You know there is not going to be a rebound. Everyone knows that Nobis is the best free throw shooter in the league.'

In an after game interview Miami's Milo Chambers said `Yea I was just standing back at mid court in our late game conservative defensive foul shot position. I have to admit I really wasn't paying attention when suddenly I hear the sound of the ball hitting hard off the rim. I jerked my head to see the ball bounce high and into the hands of Diaz. It was weird everyone on the floor just looked at Jose in a confused look. The whole arena was silent for about 2 seconds. Diaz finally realizing that he had the ball broke the silence when he started to dribble.'
Jose Nobis was drafted by Miami in season 6 with the #10 overall pick. He played limited time with the Xtreme early in that year and was eventually traded to Virgin Islands (Alaska) in a multi player trade. Then during the following off season Miami traded the #23 overall pick to get Nobis back and a year later signed him to a multi year multi million dollar contract. Nobis was slow to becoming the player needed to justify his salary but finally in season 10 Nobis has produced numbers to warrant his salary. But the most impressive thing about Jose Nobis is his free throw shooting. In his first year of his WBA career as a member of the Xtreme Jose shot flawlessly at the free throw line but critics point out that with Miami he averaged only 6 minutes a game. With the Jammin Mons he played a bigger role and averaged 23 minutes a game. With V.I. he only shot 85%. The following year back at Miami he shot 100% but again with Miami his time on the court was limited and only allowed Jose 29 attempts.

Nobis slowly started to see more time on the floor which naturally allowed him more free throw attempts. In his 3rd year in the league he 94 attempts and as the stats show, he also had 94 completions extending his free throw shooting streak to 123. In his 4th year Nobis added 127 free throws to his streak and that year was named player with the most potential by the Miami Herald.

By this time it was well known in the whole league that Nobis was a sure thing at the free throw line. Going into his 5th year as a WBA player Nobis had hit 41 free throws in a row for the season giving him a streak lasting more than 4 years for 287 consecutive free throws. This streak was ended on his 42nd attempt for the season when his free throw hit high off the back of the rim and landed in the hands of Camron Diaz. At the first dead ball after the missed free throw the crowd started chanting his name and the announcer gave the 4 year long statistics. The game paused for a moment while members of both teams and coaches took turns congratulating Nobis for his achievement. Nobis having lost all composure, ended up sitting the rest of the game.

In the words of the great Zano Zagrieb `This was a night of historical making with one of the most impressive streaks basketball has ever known. Jose Nobis we applaud you for your work ethic and we hate to see this streak end but understand this, you have set a bar so high that it may never be reached again.'

Letter to the League

This is Mike Begley reporting out of the lovely city of Cape Town, South Africa.  Yesterday I was at the Cape Town and Montana game which didn't prove to become much of a contest as Cape Town won easily 117 to 94.  To my fortune I had the privilege of being seated next to some hardcore fans.  No not Bandit fans, but to my amazement Montana fans who had made the twenty plus hour trip to watch Kadeem Reed go 1 for 11.  I felt bad for the fans as the high expectations in the preseason had only resulted in five wins for the club.  However, I was surprised to see how enthusiastic they were.  So I begun to engage them in conversation and the topic soon turned to Owner Michael Esposito.

Esposito of course is widely regarded throughout the league as never seeing a trade he didn't like.  Former player Heiko Van Brandt credited Esposito's trading reputation as the reason for his shooting slump during his tenure with the Knights.  He said, “It's weird.  One day he goes on and on about how much he likes me and vows he will never trade me but then the next day I hear my name in trade rumors.  Of course that affected my shooting it's enough to drive a man crazy.”  Reports had been circulating that a similar process had begun with young phenom Jarius Miles but as a fan of the game now I have not been in touch with anyone who can verify these reports.

So as we watched Oliver Doherty put up shot after shot we started exchanging explanations regarding Esposito's trading moods.  One fan said he had it figured out and that it was based on the moon cycles; new moon meant no desire for trading while half moon depicted an itch to trade and a full moon gave us what the fan coined as “Michael Exsopito” the full on trading machine.  I thought surely this is some crazy explanation but another fan soon chimed in that he was a nonbeliever at first but cited such facts that Van Brandt and A.J. Shulz had been dealt on a full moon.  The coincidence is eerie but a more logical explanation offered by an older fan was that Esposito was perhaps schizophrenic and had two personalities.  One side lets term the regular Esposito constituted the voice of reason promising Van Brandt not to trade him while the other “Exsopito” was the one that viciously pulled the trigger on the deal.  This explanation seemed more logical than the one brought upon by moon phases however eerie the coincidences may have been.

Soon one fan that had been keeping quiet claimed that he had indeed seen Michael Exsopito with his own eyes.  Professing to be a former intern he said that he had walked in accidentally during his naptime only to find him in bed arguing with himself, “trade Dennis Evans,” “no he's young and has potential,” “Ok yes yes must deal him,” “Must acquire Mabruke,” “I've tried, I can't,” “Must keep trying must keep trying,” and so on and so on.  The fan kept quiet while witnessing this and after it was over he said that Esposito had dramatically changed in appearance losing much color.  He reported the incident to his manager and was subsequently told that his internship had run out.

Due to the length of time that Montana has held onto Jarius Miles it is rumored that this information has led to the monitoring of Esposito during “nap time.”  Esposito is undoubtedly a great owner as his teams had seemed quite formidable at times, however his condition into the transformation of Michael Exsopito, brought upon by who knows what seems to continually offset the brilliant moves made by the regular Esposito.  There have been different conspiracy theories floating around, notably that candy sent by Brand Bangerter has resulted in Esposito's trading fervor or that he was programmed by a hypnotizer to switch from normal to schizo and vice-versa at the uttering of the phrase, “nap time.” Reports circulating on the internet have declared that the more losses Montana gets the longer Esposito's naps are.  The programmed duration of Esposito's nap by the end of regular season is currently set at eight hours and 53 minutes.

Whatever the reason given for his condition, the monitoring of Esposito is an issue that needs to be addressed.  So far there is some evidence that the pronouncement of “nap time” may have something to do with it, while the phases of the moon however outrageous cannot be ruled out.  Bangerter should also be prohibited from sending any candy Esposito's way and it is also recommended that Esposito meet with a psychiatrist to fully assess whether schizophrenia is the culprit.  I have included an artist's rendition of what the fan described as Michael Exsopito contrasted to the regular Michael Esposito.  If anyone sees Exsopito he should contact the necessary authorities and keep any means of communication that may allow him to trade out of his reach.

Here are the two forms of Esposito to look out for:

Regular Michael Esposito                    Trading maniac Michael Exsopito

A bit lazy, but the preferred                    Approach with caution, known to
version of Esposito.                               lance out trade offers without warning.

Dealing Dinos????

Dino Beat Reporter Greg Ross

The Roswell Dinos after getting to the magic .500 mark have fallen on hard times dropping 4 in a row. It has lead to all kinds of speculation around the team. Rumour deals with Boston Cincinatti and Ohama have all be reported by different media outlets. Even talk on of those deals would move All Star Christbal Dasher. However Dasher being a WBA Vet did not seem phased by the talk and rumours. In his last outing he did what he does all most every night. Scoring 17 points and pulling down 15 rebounds for his 19th double double of the season. He als had 5 swats on the night as well proving he plays hard on both ends of the floor.

Dasher had this to say about the rumours "Thats life in pro ball man. I mean you guys all talk and some of you have no idea about nothing. But we all have familys and they get upset when they think they may have to pick up thier lives and go with us. However thats how it goes you live with it and you deal. If we were winning the talk wouldn't be as loud. I am happy being here though I mean this team went through some major changes before the season and thats great. So I'm not sweating anything other than how to light up the guy I'm on the floor with on a given night. You people the media our the ones in the rumour biz but I'm not."

Another thing that the Dinos would have to take into account is the fact that Walt Jackson the team rising star is learning a lot from Dasher and the two players have become good friends on and off the court. Jackson new to all the rumours and trade talking was a little bit more upset when he spoke with reporters. He had this to say about a possible move of Christbal Dasher."It's hard to imagine this team without C-Dash. I mean Ajani and I were together in the GCBA and now the pros and in college no one gets traded an odd guy might get suspended or put on academic probation but a trade is a forever kind of thing. I mean it's been great for me to have a guy like him around everyday to work with. So I just wish all the B.S would stop flying around in the papers on the radio and T.V. We need to focus on winning not who might go there for this or that. We just gotta play ball simple as that."

We tried to contact owner James Borbath for comment on the deal rumours however we were told he was unavailable for comment. He was according to the Roswell offices planning for the teams trip to see the new home of the Dinos next year Toronto. However one wonders if that is all that he was doing. The owner is usually very friendly with the media and is never at a loss for words.

We were able to get comments from coach Jack Armstrong on the subject. He had this to say, " I am happy with the guys we have I think they for the most part have worked hard night in and night out. However happy and content our not the same thing. I don't care who you our in this league you can never become content. Teams will always try to make themselves better and talk with other clubs however just because there is smoke it doesn't always mean there is a fire. Trade or no trade we all have a job to do and that's win basketball games for this franchise. If a trade happens than it happens but the goal is to play good basketball whatever the situation. I feel this team needs to refocus on that simple concept."

It will not be easy though for the Dinos as they our going through a challenging part of the schedule. Some players see all the rumours and talk as a postive one of those being Buck Jones. Jones had this to say after practice " I mean you can look at rumours and stuff in a postive way or a negative way. I use it as motivation to play better and make my teammates better. Besides if we our making a deal that shows that we our trying to improve and get better and I think everyone can get behind that. I think we have played better than a lot of people thought at the begining of the year and we need to push it to another level now. I mean if that means a trade than maybe thats what has to happen. But I still believe in the guys that our here that we can get it done."

I'm sure there will be more to this store before all is said and done. Borbath's band of dinosours will be heading up to Toronto to spend their day off in the teams future home. Coach Armstrong is familar with that area as he lives just across the boarder in upstate New York. Armstrong had this to say about the trip north," I think it will be great I love Toronto it's a fabulous city and I think it will give all our guys a chance to relax and get to know the city that they will call home next year."

The big question is will all the present Dinos be on that flight to Toronto? Only James Borbath and whoever he's been in talks with know for sure but fact is no ones talking at this point. Which leads to speculation that a deal could be close to being done. In fact maybe not just one deal. It is up in the air that is for certain.

Cancun announces trade, but not the blockbuster expected

Cancun Outlaws GM Pat Fullum held a press conference today to announce a trade with the Omaha Wild. Although everyone expected a major deal involving Parker Mason, the trade was a minor one. The team acquired forward Ellis Law in exchange of guard Scott Currie and rookie center Jim Young. Fullum also signed free agent swingman Aaron Robinson for the remainder of the season. "I felt we needed depth at the forward position, and Ellis will provide that depth and might even see a lot of time as a backup small forward". So does that mean that the Outlaws are going to keep their veterans and try to make another run at the title? "Absolutely" answered Fullum. There had been rumours as of late concerning Mason and Lonnie Gerson especially and many expected a deal to go down soon. But Mason has come out in the media recently saying he would love to sign an extension and stay in Cancun, all that after refusing an extension from the Cancun organization in the offseason. Some of the players also came out publicly and were against dismantling the first WBA dynasty. Does that mean the trading is over? Fullum had this to say: "It's hard to predict. I'm very comfortable with the team we have right now, I like our chances. We got depth with Ellis Law and Aaron Robinson is a player we have been looking at since last season. There aren't many 6'11" 240 pounds shooting guards in this league. He will get a chance to practice everyday against our guys and this will be a season long workout for him. He has the physical tools, now he must work to elevate his game to the WBA level"

As far as the rumour that the team acquired Law because it feared that Mathew Pitcher, the current backup small forward, had derailed from his substance abuse therapy, Fullum and team officials refused to comment, only saying they supported Pitcher in his struggle and that everything was going according to plan. Pitcher was seen going out last week with some of his close friends, Pee-Wee Stoddard, Sebastian Cole, T.J. Macfarland, Charlie Elkington and Mike Sewell. But Fullum made sure to add that it was a basketball decision, and that he liked Law's interior game and shotblocking abilities, where Pitcher has always been more of a jump-shooter. So now the Outlaws move on and will be fighting once again for a title.

Stir Fried Rice

There are a lot of mixed emotions about the signing of Isaac Rice. There are a lot of people thinking WOW, WHAT HE CAN DO!!! But on the other hand there are those who think YEA, HE'S HURT AGAIN!!! When trying to get an interview with Coach Ethan Kight, He replied “No comment.” Veteran Bob Delaney stated, “I like I. R. he is a team player, but we really haven't got a fair chance to see how good I. R. can be.” Management of the Fury is not very happy right now with there scouting team.  In the off-season their only job was to find a good role player coming off the bench. Initially Rice's Stats were very good, but other teams scout complained about how good he was and the scouting report was changed. When asked to talk with the Fury's team President he replied with this, “That is the way the ball bounces.” You can see a glimpse of what the scouts were looking at. Rice was averaging 29 points per game and close to 10 rebounds per game also. The team has Rice in a very demanding weight program to strengthen his whole body against injuries. When interviewing Rice he replied by saying, “I am doing everything I can to get better. I hate missing so many games. The Doctor said I was ready to go. But I did not know my situation was going to be like Grant Hill of the NBA. I love the game of basketball if I can not play this game I do not know what I will do.”

The rice situation is not the only problem facing the Fury management. Contracts are the big problem here.
Birmingham               Contract         Current
Player                   Length           Year        Salary
1.  Bob Delaney          5 yrs            yr 5        $8.31(NTC)
3.  Jamie Crouch         3 yrs            yr 3        $1.00
5.  Yuri Vilasny         3 yrs            yr 3        $2.00
6.  Bill Blackstone      3 yrs            yr 3       $10.71
10. Wong-Wei Wang        1 yr             yr 1        $0.25
                                                     -----
                                                    $46.47
Cap Room:                                             $0.03
While age is also playing a big part the Fury's management decision on who to resign. Delaney is 28, Blackstone is 30, Wang is 25, Crouch is 24, and Vilasny is 22. Blackstone is having one of his better years out of the last 4 years. While, Delaney is just doing the same thing he has been doing for the last four years with this team, and each of the years not being voted into the all star game. Everyone knows that Birmingham will resign Vilasny, but out of the other four players who will they resign.

Last breaking news, the Birmingham Fury just fired Coach Ethan Kight after just four games into the season. There were rumors about Kight being replaced after the season was over, but the Fury management removed him from the courtside. The Interim coach will be BJ (Trey) Hadley the coach of the Kaiserslautern Kobras in the GCBA league. Ethan has been moved to Basketball and Player Operations Vice President. BJ had this to say, “I just want to thanks Ethan for coming to ask me to take over his team. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be a part of the best basketball league in the world. The only thing I need to do is keeping the fan coming to see the Fury play basketball.” Ethan reported to the fans, “Just because I am leaving doesn't mean your team will be going any where. We have sign a long term contract with the city of Birmingham and the Fury is here to stay. I like to thank everyone for all their support, time, and effort to help make Birmingham successful.” The Fury management reported, “It was the right time to do this. Ethan's passion for basketball is not there and we feel that BJ has done wonders with the Old Glasgow/Kaiserslautern College team and maybe he will be the one to get our team over the hump.

Now that the news is out, how will the Fury do? What does any one know about BJ Hadley's coaching ability? The season before he took over the Glasgow program their record was 17-25 with a winning % .404. In three seasons with a change team name the Kaiserslautern Kobras has accumulated a record of 59-55 with a winning % .518, while also winning a GIT championship. He is an educator and grooms his guards into great players. So hopeful he can improve the game of Vilasny. When the League starts back up BJ Hadley will be the new head coach of you Birmingham Fury. Ethan will be in the back ground working in the broad room. So wish BJ good luck and watchout for the new breed of WBA coaches.

Good luck Boris Jacob Hadley!
